The squirrels are starting to adjust to life outside. They are leaving their nesting box more frequently and are uncatchable and slightly aggressive at this point. They are wilding up nicely and in about 2 weeks they will be put out for a soft release. A soft release is when you open the cage door and allow the animals to come and go as they please or a period of time while they adjust to being on their own. During this time some food is provided inside the cage for them to access if they need it while they learn how to be successful squirrels.
